In the growing Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend, different industry verticals have varying needs for data security.  Government, Pharmaceuticals, hi-techs, financial services and healthcare industries are generally demanding newer solutions to provide secure data access to their increasingly mobile workforce.  The secure container approach makes sense in these scenarios so personal data can be kept separate from sensitive corporate data on employee devices.

A survey done by Bitzer Mobile late last year, however, shows that users do not want to compromise on their user experience or give up using their favorite apps such as Facebook or Pandora to gain enterprise access.  This is why IT’s ability to offer access to personal and corporate data on the same mobile device to employees will determine the popularity of a company’s BYOD policy.
